Brand: Akai

The Akai GX-67 is a digital sampler that was released by Akai Professional in 1987. It was one of the first affordable samplers on the market, and it quickly gained popularity among musicians and producers for its 12-bit audio resolution and ability to sample and manipulate sounds. The GX-67 featured 64k of ROM (Read-Only Memory) that allowed for up to 15 seconds of sampling time, as well as 16k of RAM (Random-Access Memory) that could store up to four samples at a time. This hardware format paved the way for future Akai samplers and helped to revolutionize the music industry by providing an accessible and affordable option for producers to create and manipulate digital audio.
