The Akai GX-636 is a versatile digital sampler and sound module that was introduced by Akai Professional in 1995. It features 64MB of built-in sample RAM and 2.5MB waveform ROM, allowing for a wide range of sounds to be loaded or created. The unit offers 16-bit sampling resolution and 44.1kHz sampling rate, as well as adjustable sample looping and editing functions. Additionally, the GX-636 has 16-bit+DAC output and MIDI interface connectivity.
