The Akai AS-970 is a 9-pin MIDI sequencer released by Akai in the late 1980s. It allows users to record, store, and playback digital MIDI data from up to 16 MIDI devices simultaneously. The AS-970 features 128 KB of RAM, an LCD display, and several connectivity options, including MIDI In, MIDI Out, MIDI Thru, and a control voltage (CV) output for syncing with analog synthesizers.
